![]() I totally did not steal that joke off of the internet. The game also introduces Amy and metal sonic. Based around a unique time travel concept, SONIC CD is the most non-linear of the classic Sonic games and the music, composed by Naofumi Hataya and Masfumi Ogata, brilliantly reflects the shifting tones. The art of the levels also conveys the fact that you need to do something to stop eggman, as in the bad future, the level is completely ruined and the past shows what the area looked like before eggman even touched the land. SONIC CD (also known as Sonic the Hedgehog CD) was originally released in 1993 for SEGAs Mega-CD system. The opening, the good ending and bad ending cutscenes are absoloutely amazing too. Sonic CD will now restart with the Japanese soundtrack. Enter here by pressing either Enter or A, depending on your controls. On a game controller, this can be done using both the left directional stick and the D-Pad. No weird panning, unbalanced track levels, nasty artifacts or other similar war crimes. ![]() Then, there is also a huge emphasis on exploration, as you have to search the levels to find the robot transporters and destroy them to get a good future. On the keyboard, this can be done by pressing the right arrow key. This mod replaces the low quality soundtrack found in the game with the 20th Anniversary OST version, in the highest quality I could get. The music sets the tone of the past, present, good future and bad future stages really well. The japanese soundtrack (and some certain songs from the us soundtrack) is absoloutely amazing. I guess you could say that it's just Really Funky 90's Pop with some Jazz elements. This might be a hot take, but sonic cd is my favorite. It also kinda sounds like 90's pop, but then it's also got a little jazz, so what is it The specific tracks I'm looking at are Stardust Speedway present, Metallic Madness bad future and Wacky Workbench bad future.
